Champions Cheerleading & Tumbling Inc. has been in business since 1996. Owner Keith Geramita brought his 10 years of coaching experience to Bulverde to teach a group of 40 or 50 students in an old feed store with 4 tumbling strips. Ten years and a lot of hard work later, we are now housed in an 11,000 sq. ft. facility with a competition spring floor, 3,200 sq. ft. of hard floor space for high school cheer teams a 40ft. tumble track and an in ground trampoline. We have the capability to help your child reach their goals whether they just want to have fun and stay in shape or to be the best cheerleader or tumbler they can be. Our staff has close to 40 combined years of cheer and tumbling coaching experience, which is the most you will find in any facility in the San Antonio area. Champions staff includes members of the Universal Cheerleaders Association staff and National Cheerleaders Association staff as well as being USASF certified. Our coaching team has choreographed routines for all star programs and high school cheer teams around the country, and received national recognition for their choreography twice in 2005. Our All Star program has won National titles with American Cheer Power, Athletic Championships, World Spirit Federation, Mardi Gras, and a UCA national title, winning the Large Junior Prep Level II in 2005. Champions All Stars has also accumulated many regional titles and top 5’s at NCA All Star Championships, again more than any other program in the area. All Stars is not our only specialty. We also have been a part of helping Ronald Reagan High School win an NCA national high school title in the Super Large Varsity division and James Madison High School to back to back Cheer Power High School National titles in the Small Varsity level two in 2005and 2006. We currently work with 2009 UCA National Champion, Mac Arthur H.S., Lady Bird Johnson H.S. , James Madison H.S., as well as New Braunfels Middle School , and students and cheerleaders from many other area schools.
Our philosophy is simple: Provide a safe, fun, structured environment with a family atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong.
Tumbling
Champions tumbling program is based on learning proper technique through progressions. This will assure that a tumbler will be able to continue to progress at their own pace. Students must show mastery of certain skills before moving on to the next level. We do not believe in skipping steps and moving athletes along before they are ready. If you build a solid foundation, everything you learn after that will be easier. Other programs may try to skip steps in hopes of impressing you , so you think your child is moving along faster than they really are. The staff at Champions will always keep your child's best interest and safety in mind. Champions offers classes for all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced.
Cheerleading
Our cheerleading classes are structured so that your child will get instruction in all aspects of cheer, including; Motion technique, Jump technique, dance, stunt building and tumbling. These classes are suitable for those just interested in trying a fun new way to exercise, or those who think they might be interested in doing competitive cheerleading and need a little help with their basics. Classes are offered for ages 4 - 16.
Champions All Stars
Our competitive cheer program was established in 1997 and has consistently produced great teams and amazing cheerleaders. With our veteran staff of coaches you can be assured your child will receive the highest level of coaching and choreography. If you are interested in competitive cheerleading, Champions has a spot for you on one of our many teams ranging from novice to advanced ,encompassing all ages. Try outs for competitive teams takes place in early May and the competition season runs from late October through early April. Cheerleaders who would like to join our program after try outs may set up an appointment for a private evaluation with our coaching staff .C. A. S., Simply The Best.
